Check out the link above and become a fan of our movie on Facebook. 07-21-09: More Distribution Details! We're happy to announce all domestic distribution-related setbacks have been overcome and Pink Lemonade will finally hit store shelves this fall. September/October is the time frame we're looking at. Don't worry, we'll let you know! It has been a long crazy journey since the film was conceived in 2003, but it's a journey we are all too willing to undertake again as we prep for The Back Nine! 06-18-09: Time To Expand Your International DVD Collection! Since it looks like Pink Lemonade is still a few months away from hitting US DVD outlets we thought we'd recommend some alternate viewing options! You can always pick up the Hong Kong version of the DVD as it will play normally on US DVD players! If you have a region-free DVD player your options are endless; just do a google search for "Pink Lemonade DVD." Beware, some DVDs you find may be dubbed in other languages! I hope you don't mind subtitles! 04-02-09: Just Kidding! As much as we all wish yesterday's news story was true, it's just an April Fools joke! The thought of being able to make TB9 with a respectable budget like that is downright mouth-watering! Someday... 04-01-09: Fantastic News!!! After having made Pink Lemonade on a shoestring budget we were hoping to up the ante on our next project! Someone heard our pleas!! That's right folks, we're in the process of signing a deal that puts our budget for The Back Nine at just over ONE MILLION dollars! We're finally making a "real movie!" 01-01-09: Happy 2009!!! From all of us here at Random Reel, to all of you! Here's to a happy and prosperous 2009! 09-04-08: Distribution Update! Howdy folks! There have been some delays with the Domestic Distribution, but we're hopeful that Pink Lemonade will be available for rent and purchase in time for the Holiday Season! As soon as we find out, we'll be letting everyone know on this site and our myspace page! 01-30-08: Any Night but Tonight is now known as PINK LEMONADE!!! That's right folks, the film formerly known as “Any Night but Tonight” will be distributed under the title "Pink Lemonade"! Be sure to check out some of the new kick-ass artwork for the DVD cover! It's not final yet, but we wanted to give you guys a special sneak peak of how it will look! Enjoy! 07-17-07: DISTRIBUTION!!! Since the contract has been signed, I guess it’s time for us to officially spill the beans. “Any Night but Tonight” has been picked up for Domestic Distribution! With any luck we’ll be available online, and in brick & mortar DVD retailers by mid 2008! More info will be forthcoming! 01-01-07: A New Year! This will be an exciting year, indeed! Producer’s Rep. Jamie Thompson has signed on with Random Reel to represent ANbT to Distributors, both foreign and domestic. Any Night but Tonight will be unleashed onto the world, and your boys here at Random Reel will move ahead full steam with our newest project! I can’t tell you much about it now, but rest assured it will be worth the wait! 11-01-06: Additional Photography! Last weekend saw the conclusion of the shoot for Any Night but Tonight. It was one long day of pick-ups covering an entirely new opening sequence, and the “Rodeo” scene the way it was intended to be shot! Much of the original crew was on hand as well as Chris Teregis and Adam Young, reprising their Chaz and Lewis roles! 09-16-06: Submitting for Sundance! The submission deadline for Feature Films is September 25th. We will be submitting the current cut of ANbT this week. Now the question is: will the serious Film-Festival purveyors appreciate the magic of the Shocker? Or the Rodeo? Or how about the tainted lemonade? Is the Sundance crowd ready for Random Reel? Keep your fingers crossed for us! 09-15-06: Cast and Crew Screening Coming Soon! This is something we've been looking forward to since we saw the reaction we got when we showed a few clips at the wrap party! And now, like a child on it's first day of school, we're ready to unleash Any Night but Tonight into the world... or at least the cast, crew, friends and family. We're looking at October. It'll be here before you know it...we promise! 09-14-06: LONG Overdue Updates! Long time, no see! First of all, we'd like to apologize for the ridiculously long time since our last update. Things have been pretty hectic around the ol' Random Reel homestead. Any Night but Tonight is almost done being scored by Richard Andonian, a very talented musician. He has created some excellent original music for this project, and I'm sure you will love it! The total running time clocks in at a trim 97 minutes! Not bad, considering our first cut was on the verge of two hours! Just think of all the DVD bonus features! More updates coming soon! 06-19-06: IMDB! At last, Any Night but Tonight is immortalized on The Internet Movie Database! Our IMDB page is getting updated little by little every day. Check it out! 04-20-06: The Newport Beach Film Festival! The all-new three minute "Red" trailer plays this Saturday, April 22nd at the Edwards Island, COX theater at Fashion Island. It starts at 11:30am, so be sure to get there early so you don't miss it! Check out the official NBFF website for more info! 03-20-06: Site Updates! We're excited to announce that our Random Reel Forums are up and running! Come talk about anything and everything! And as the song says... Anything goes! The On-Set Photo Gallery is also online and ready to go! Enjoy! 03-19-06: Any Night but Tonight is on myspace!!! Click HERE to take a look at our new myspace page. It's pretty cool, we have some behind-the-scenes photos and shots of all our cast! You can also see our Teaser there! We need all the friends we can get, so feel free to Add us, and if you'd like to post any trailers or promotional images on your page, just ask, and we'll hook you up! 03-19-06: Wow! We Really Made a Movie... After taking a couple weeks to detox, we dove face-first into editing. And for the past 2 months, that is where we have stayed... Locked in a small dark room for days on end with no rest. Lesser men may have cracked and gone insane... but not your faithful pals at RandomReel.com! We live for this stuff! And we are happy to announce that we have our first rough-cut! It clocks in at just under two hours, so we'll need to do some heavy trimming and fine-tuning to get it down to the target 90 minutes. 01-31-06: That's a WRAP!!! The cast and crew on "Any Night but Tonight" began to feel like family over the course of our 15 day shoot. It's amazing how much of a bond you can build with people you've spent so little time with. But they say war is hell, and film production is like going to war. War against the elements, against nature, against time... the cast and crew are your comrades sharing the foxhole next to you as you endure the grueling ravages of war(or production)... Expect more pictures and stories in the coming weeks as randomreel.com recovers from production and begins regular updates! 12-26-05: Set Construction! We added some work-in-progress shots of our restaurant set to our Pre-Production Photo Gallery! Enjoy! 12-25-05: Happy Holidays! Happy Holidays from everyone here at Random Reel! 12-13-05: Even MORE Updated Production Info Our shooting schedule has been modified a bit. Principal photography now begins on Monday, January 2nd. This only gives everybody ONE DAY to recover from the New Years hang-over, so take it easy! Shooting will wrap on Monday, January 16th. Yes, you read that correctly... 15 days straight! Maybe we're insane, but that's just how we roll here at Random Reel. Don't get me wrong, we're not slave drivers! At least, not with our actors, anyway. In accordance with SAG rules, our actors will have days off. That's the nice thing about shooting a film with such a large cast. We can give some leads the day off and still have plenty of other material to shoot! Our crew on the other hand... let's just say we'll all be one big happy family at the end of this thing! And we'll have one hell of a movie to show for it! 12-12-05: Good Ol' Government Commodity Asbestos! Or location at the Tustin Base has been abandoned for about 10 years now. Well, maybe I shouldn't say abandoned since a plethora of rabbits, rats, and crows still call that place home. Lurking in the shadows, among the vermin lies a silent, but deadly killer. ASBESTOS! Like a jungle cat, it waits... it waits to pounce on it's prey. The air in the Mess Hall location has been deemed unhealthy to breathe over long periods of time, so that means no-go for using that as our primary location. Bummer, right? WRONG! Never fear, the fine folks here at Random Reel Entertainment always come with a "Plan B" in mind. Our NEW location is easier to get to, has electricity on tap, working plumbing(yay, no porta-potties), and all the comforts of home! We'll be shooting on an actual sound stage! Stay tuned for pics of our new location in the coming weeks! They'll be in the Pre-Production Photo Gallery! 12-11-05: Casting Our Masterpiece! In the past few weeks, we have had hundreds of very talented actors come read for us! It's wonderfully exciting to see our written words brought to life. That having been said, our casting adventure isn't over quite yet. We're still looking to fill one or two key roles, so the search continues... 10-26-05: Updated Production Information Take a peek at the Production Info page for our updated production calandar. Auditions are to be held at the end of November, with callbacks in early December. Principal photography begins January 3rd and will complete on January 22nd. 10-11-05: We Have a Location! At long last we have discovered a perfect location. It's an unused facility that we can completely take over and set up as we see fit. Throughout the month of November, our Art Department, will transform the mess hall at the old Tustin Military base into our greasy burger joint! 10-08-05: "Waiting..." No Need For Concern At long last we have discovered a perfect location. It's an unused facility that we can completely take over and set up as we see fit. Throughout the month of November, our Art Department, will transform the mess hall at the old Tustin Military base into our greasy burger joint! We first heard about Rob McKittrick's restaurant film "Waiting..." about 4 months ago, and I'll admit, we were a little worried. Can two restaurant movies co-exist in the fickle minds of the film-going community? YES!!! Was this going to be another Volcano vs Dante's Peak? Armageddon vs Deep Impact? Or dare I say First Daughter vs Chasing Liberty? Thankfully, the answer is an emphatic NO! Sure, both films take place in a restaurant, but that's where the similarities end. Waiting... is funny, Any Night but Tonight is funnier! 09-29-05: The New Look of randomreel.com You may have noticed that our fine website has been a little neglected lately. Not only have we been swamped by pre-production, but we've also been planning a complete makeover for Randomreel.com. It'll be faster, funnier, and better all around. Some exciting announcements will be made! Stay Tuned for more! 09-27-05: The Search Continues Finding the perfect restaurant for this food service epic is proving to be much more tricky than we had anticipated. We are looking for a recently closed down restaurant that we can rent for the entire month of January for the shoot. It can't be too big, and it can't be too small... it needs to be just right to fit the image of a little greasy spoon, mom-and-pop burger joint. So we'll keep searching... and if you know of any possible locations in the LA/Orange County area, let us know! April 20-24 2005: Star Wars Celebration 3 We here at Random Reel are huge Star Wars fans. It's even painfully evident in our writing. And now, standing on the eve of what could possibly be the last new Star Wars movie ever, it's no surprise that we made the decision to trek across the country to Indiana to partake in the madness and mayhem of Star Wars Celebration 3! Just imagine 30,000 hardcore Star Wars fans all in their element, like fish in water. At least David brought his wife along to help counter-act the homoerotic vibe going on between the rest of us guys there. A weekend of Star Wars, fast-food and hot chicks dressed up like Slave-girl Leia… What else could we ask for? Uncle George… So, the elusive Mr. Lucas hasn't made a public appearance since 1987. And now, some 18 years later we get word that he will be speaking for only three half hour sessions starting at 8:45am on Saturday morning. We knew this was huge! And we knew that only 9,000 people would fit in the hall he was speaking at... That's 30% of the weekend's crowd. 7:00pm Friday night David begins the 14 hour wait for our mentor… our living-God. Randy had dislocated his shoulder Friday, and was back in the Hotel room recuperating for the carnage that would soon ensue. By midnight, both Randy and David were in line, freezing in the sub-30-degree temperature. IN THE RAIN! And wind! In the end, we got hypothermia, but it was worth it. Someday we hope to create something to inspire this much passion in our fans…. But until then, we'll stick with the dick and fart jokes |
