France , 1916, three American boys join the French Army more than one year before America enters the war. An unexpected surprise turns up as a French prostitute stows away in a supply wagon and follows her American lover to the front. The boys struggle with making the decision to do the right thing: stay and fight a war they don't believe in anymore, or turn tail and run.
